The talented New York-based Irish singer/songwriter Sorcha Richardson has unveiled her latest track — Petrol Station.
Taking her lyric-driven music into an exciting new sound — Richardson’s latest piece has an electronic focus.
Petrol Station will be released on May the 26th with a number of summer shows planned across the USA in 2015 [see dates below.]
We had a listen:
The rhythmic texture of Sorcha’s vocal over the simplest of inflatable beats is very attractive.
But this song is hardly sparkling or bubbly… No, it’s deeply introspective and somewhat downhearted.
The voice is intriguing though — with a catchy cadence and an Irish lilt that helps to create a false sense of security.
The chorus is highly reflective and brings with it incredible beauty.
A perfectly captivating voice, with elaborated lyrics, delivered in rapid shots — and glazed in vitreous lustre.
