It’s a while since we covered the 4-piece Manchester/Northern Ireland (UK) based indie rockers King Kartel.
Here’s what we thought of them back in 2013:
“Blinding star quality […] like being shot in the gut by a glitter-cannon…”
Now we are checking out their ‘Come At Me Now’ :
This slouch has bitter low-end depth.
And a wonderful riff thundering right through its veins.
The vocal has an arrogant slur — and a mature and brilliant grin.
And, although the backdrop is kinda wuzzy, the voice easily rides above all the pelleting drums and those door-step slices of fabulous guitar.
Brilliant British indie rock ‘n’ roll — with a taste for power and pride.
