Melbourne’s jangly indie rock band “The Outdoor Type” is the work of singer / songwriter Zach Buchanan with producer Colin Leadbetter.
We have been listening to the new release ‘Are You Happy’ :-
This has stringy twangs and a sluggish harmonica – these admirably suit the slothful pulp-filled lyrics…
These become a fully reported greeting when the synthy whiplash rhythms ruffle up.
The golden voice is gentle and warm – the words trembling on each branch of sound like honey flowers on the locust tree.
