Glitter Wasteland is a creative collective around singer/songwriter Siri Jantey. Current producers are Timo Loosli [Faux Tales] and Marco Neeser.
We have been listening to “Don’t Let It Go” -
If you liked the raw gutsy attitude of 80’s synth-pop – with that rumble of energy – (it felt like the musicians were jogging everywhere) you are sure to like this.
The vocal has a spectacular shine (it would register high on gloss-o-meter) – the rhythms are trim and well packed-in.
There is a thin layer of decay over the entire production – as if it was left out in the rays for too long. It has faded.
But as synthesizers become larger – and beats spread out and chatter - boundaries are pushed back – light and dark bands merge.
And it gets bubble-light and as intoxicating as an early morning highball.
Take this poured over ice … otherwise you may suffer thermal shock!
