We once described those wonderful Cumbrian Southern Rockers (armed with a country swing) THIRTEEN STARS as “dusty, kicking, rugged and hairy..” and it’s true they tend to ride-out like wind-warriors on a dust-road down Dixie way… Now they’re back with brand new single titled: ‘Running So Long’.

It’s a twangy, country-saturated, hollow-body accomplishment with greasy keyboards and slurry vocals. It’s a Pettyish number that almost pleads to be experienced full blast — with the hood down — and might well be the most feelicious Southern hit of the fall…
Lead singer/guitarist Hoss says: “I wrote it after Tom Petty died. We were devastated. It was kind of a way of getting over never being able to tell him how much he influenced me and how much he has meant to me in my life.”
“We wrote this in celebration of him. The video was filmed right on our doorstep in Cockermouth on a Viking Settlement in the middle of June. The water was nowhere near as cold as you would imagine...”
